Six accountants from RDAs attended a seminar on the use of new National Accounting Standards

On 28 July 2015 in Chisinau was organized a training workshop for six accountants from Regional Development Agency (RDA) on 'Application of the new National Accounting Standards. Normative framework and practical aspects'.

The training was facilitated by the Association of Professional Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Moldova (ACAP) and supported by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, via the project 'Modernization of local public services in the Republic of Moldova'. The event took place at the request of GIZ project institutional partner - the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction (MRDC). The aim of the seminar was to train RDA accountants with regard to new legislative requirements relating to National Accounting Standards (NAS).

In the first part of the seminar, the instructors Lidia Foalea and Natalia Habasescu related to accounting policies; changes and errors in accounting estimates; as well as on the characteristics of income accounting from the funding from National Regional Development Fund (NRDF )budget, funding obtained from grants and own resources.

In the second part of the seminar, Elena Taban, Natalia Habasescu and Tatiana Bilba, presented to participants details on receivables and financial investments; characteristics of accounting for exchange rate differences and amount arising from different sources; accounting for subsidies within the RDA; as well as the audit of the Finance Agreement (GIS fond).

At the end of the event the participants were handed certificates.

National Accounting Standards (NAS) are applied by entities from 1 January 2015 compulsorily.
